Taurus 1911 Grips - We build these grips specifically for the Taurus 1911! If you have a Taurus and have tried to fit standard 1911 grips to the gun you've found that there are three problems with the fit. The grip screws don't fit the counterbore, the safety levers hit the top of the grip and the cut for the ambidextrous safety needs to be deeper. We've addressed all these and developed a series of grips for the Taurus.
Industrial Phenolic Laminates, available in several forms, are very hard materials that handle the toughest duty. These thermoset materials are formed using paper or cloth reinforcing and phenolic resins under high heat and pressure. This creates a very hard, strong and dense material that withstands heavy use.
All of these grips are available with either a beveled or square bottom for standard or magwell use. They also are available with a full lower rear corner that covers the mainspring housing pin or with a cutout that exposes the mainspring housing pin (as shown in the photos).
These are production grips so the grips you get will not be the individual pair shown in the photo. Our photos represent the type and general character of the material, but due to variances in the material uses to manufacture the grips, the locations of the fabric or paper layers within the grips my vary giving a different visual appearance of the grips.
