SLIM GRIPS FOR 1911

Dymondwood Laminate grips are hardwoods laminated using phenolic resins, heat and pressure to create a dense and strong material. The wood veneers are vacuum impregnated with advanced penetrating dyes to create vibrant colors.

These grips are available in Smooth Finish, Double Diamond Checkering (shown) or Tactical Half Checkered. Select your choice under "Checkering". Check out our other slim 1911 grips to see how our other checkering patterns look.

Our checkered grips are cut with a sharp double diamond or half checkering at 20 lines per inch with a smooth border surrounding the checkering.

These grips are built slim for shooters with smaller hands or those who like to be able to wrap their hand further around the grip. Grip thickness runs between .155" and .165" thick at the center of the grip.

Grips are available with or without an ambidextrous safety cut. If you're unsure whether you need an ambi cut, click the link on the left side of the page to learn more about the ambi cut. Slim Taurus 1911 Grips all have the ambi cut.

The Bobtail grips have bevels on the bottom and cover the mainspring housing pin. A relief cut is made on the back of the grip panels for the raised head of the pin.

These grips require the use of slim bushing and screws. These are available in blue or stainless steel as an option with these grips.

Please note that we do not stock these grips at this time and will need to build the grips to fill your order. We can typically fill these orders within 10 business days.

Our smooth grips are sanded and buffed smooth. No finish is applied to the grips as the Dymondwood polishes to a shine and makes the material very water and oil resistant without any added finish. Our checkered grips are all cnc cut checkering with a phenolic finish is applied over the checkered areas. Our checkering is cut at 20 lines per inch.

These are production grips so the grips you receive will not be the individual pair shown in the photo. Our photos represent the type and general character of the material but due to variances in the material colors and layer thicknesses, the visual appearance of the grips may be different. Also note that colors shown of computer monitors can vary greatly, affecting the representative colors. We do have a liberal return policy and can often help to select materials that will have the colors you'd like.
